WRC WEATHER HEROES
Weather Research Center is looking for nominations for its 2013 Weather Hero Awards. Each year Weather Research Center and the Nationís First Weather Museum give Weather Hero Awards to those individuals, groups or corporations who have demonstrated heroic qualities in one or more of the following areas: educating others in the fields of science or math; volunteering & supporting the meteorological community; and helping others during a weather crisis. Please send us any names of people you would like to nominate for the 2013 Weather Hero Awards which will be awarded on Saturday January 25, 2014. Please include a paragraph on why they should receive the award.

The Nation's First Weather MuseumWeather Research Center opened the Nation's first Weather Museum in April 2006 in the Houston Museum District. The Museum provides hands-on meteorological science education to the Houston community as well as many out-of-town visitors.
Weather EducationWRC Meteorologists provide Weather Camp, Teacher Workshops, Scout Merit Badge Classes, Weather Labs, Company Weather Safety Classes and Weather Talks in order to make the community weather wise.
